“Crossing Over” by Denise Chavez, from 2008’s i am 8-bit exhibition. That poor Fygar — above ground, he could have had a lovely existence walking around with a fishing pole, changing sweaters occasionally, and picking up the word “d-d-dude” from his neighbor, Cube.
But the terrible economy forced him to make his life underground, away from the omnipresent Tom Nook, and he got murdered with a bicycle pump.
